Sugam Engineering Industries

Our place, Sugam Engineering Industries, is at 198A in the Peenya Industrial Area, right near the Ganesh Temple. The temple is a good spot to tell people when they’re looking for us because the industrial area can be confusing with all the similar-looking buildings. We’ve been doing engineering work here for a good few years now. The shop is usually full of metal stock and different machines that we use for the daily jobs. It’s a loud environment, but you get used to the rhythm of it after a while. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans painted on the walls. It’s just a place where we come to work every morning. Some days the machines run perfectly, and other days we’re fighting with them to get a precision cut. We handle a variety of tasks for different people around the area. It’s not about being the most polished business; it’s about getting the parts out the door. We eat our lunch together in the small area out back when the weather is decent. There’s a lot of dust and grease, which comes with the territory. We aren't trying to be something we're not. We just run our small operation and try to keep up with the work that’s assigned to us. It’s a simple life, but the work is steady and it keeps us going every week.
