Sublime Architects

You can find us at No 3B, Lavelle Mansion, which is on Lavelle Road. We are right across from the Bangalore Club, so it is a fairly well-known part of town. The building is an older one, 1/2A, and it has a bit of character to it. We work on architectural projects here, mostly sitting around the large tables covered in sketches and notes. It is a nice area to walk around when we need a break from the drawings. Our days are filled with meetings, phone calls, and the actual work of designing buildings. We don't go for anything too polished or corporate in how we run things. It is just a group of us trying to make sense of space and structure. Sometimes we spend hours arguing over where a wall should go or how the light will hit a certain room. It is a lot of trial and error before we get to the final version. Lavelle Road can get busy, but our office stays relatively calm. We have been here for a while and have gotten used to the rhythm of this neighborhood. We handle the site visits and the technical stuff that comes with being architects. It is just a matter of showing up every day and working through the puzzles that each new project brings. We like the honesty of the work and the physical reality of seeing a design become a building. We just keep our focus on the current projects.
