Perspective Architects

Our office is in Durga Mansion, which is at No. 144 on DVG Road in Gandhi Bazaar. It’s right above the Peter England showroom, so that’s the landmark we always tell people to look for. Basavangudi is a great area, but it gets incredibly crowded on the weekends with all the shoppers. Inside the office of Perspective Architects, things are a bit more quiet. We have big tables covered in drawings and rolls of tracing paper. There are also a few half-finished models sitting on the shelves. It’s not the neatest place because we are always working on something new. We have a small balcony where we keep some plants, but they struggle a bit with the city air. The building itself is older, with high ceilings and those big heavy doors. We spend hours talking about designs or looking at site photos on the computer. Sometimes we walk down to the nearby stalls to get some filter coffee when we need a break. It’s a nice mix of the old Bangalore vibe outside and our work inside. We don’t have a fancy corporate lobby. You just walk up the stairs and find us. It’s a practical space where we can focus on the buildings we are trying to put together. Most of our days are spent between the drawing board and visiting various sites across the city. It’s a good way to work.
