About Spacio Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Bengaluru
Our office, Spacio Architect, is at number 23 on the Ninth Cross in the Bommanahalli Industrial Area. It’s a bit of a strange place for an architecture firm with garment factories all around. You can usually hear machinery from neighboring units while we're working on drawings. The space is filled with blueprints, tracing paper, and old computers. We aren't the kind of architects who wear suits or work in shiny glass buildings. Most of the time, we have dust on our shoes from construction sites. Desks are cluttered with measuring tapes, rulers, and coffee mugs. We spend a lot of time arguing over dimensions or trying to fit a staircase into a tight corner. Natural light is okay in the mornings, but we use big lamps when the sun goes down. It’s a practical workspace where we focus on getting the lines right. People come in to talk about house plans or warehouse layouts. We don't have a reception desk, just a large wooden table. There are usually scraps of model-making materials like balsa wood and foam board scattered under it too. We don't worry about the mess as long as the work is moving forward. It’s a busy and productive place to be. The industrial area isn't pretty, but it keeps us grounded and busy with real projects. We just like designing things that people can actually use. Our windows stay shut to keep out the factory noise.
