Stream Of Joy

If you find yourself driving down Shishila Road, you eventually come across our spot here in Hathyadka. We call it Stream Of Joy, though most days it is just where we live and do our daily chores. The name sounds a bit more poetic than the actual work we do. It is a quiet patch of land and the road out front doesn't see too much traffic, which is how we like it. We have been here for a good amount of time now, watching the trees grow and the seasons shift. There is always water nearby and that keeps the ground green even when the sun gets quite hot in the middle of the year. We spend our mornings checking on things and the rest of the day is usually just maintenance. It is not a big corporate operation or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure everything stays in order. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to share some news or help out with a task. Living out in Hathyadka means you have to be a bit independent because the main town is a bit of a drive. We don't have a lot of flashy equipment. Most of what we do is by hand or with old tools that have been around for years. It is a slow pace but it suits the atmosphere of the area. We just keep going one day at a time.
