Stanmek Engineers

Stanmek Engineers operates out of a basement at No. 215 on 4th Main in JP Nagar, 3rd Phase. It’s a bit of a hidden spot, but it suits us well for the kind of engineering work we do. Being in a basement keeps it a bit cooler during the hot Bangalore afternoons. We have our drafting tables and a few machines set up down there. It’s a small, dedicated team. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or testing out small components. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many files and tools everywhere. You have to watch your head when you come down the stairs. JP Nagar is a nice area, but parking can be difficult on our street. We usually grab coffee from the small stall at the corner. There’s no big corporate vibe here; it’s more like a workshop where we solve problems. We often work late into the evening when it’s quiet and we can concentrate. Our desks are covered in coffee mugs and rulers. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Most of our work comes from people we’ve known for a long time. It’s a quiet, steady way to run an engineering firm. We like the independence of being our own bosses in this little basement space. It’s where all our ideas actually become real things without any fancy fluff.
