Srivari Engineeing Works

Srivari Engineering Works is based in Rajajinagar on Tank Bund Road, specifically at number 20. If you come by, you'll hear the sound of metal being cut or the hum of the lathe machines before you even see the door. The floor is always covered in silver metal shavings and there’s a smell of cutting oil everywhere. We do a lot of fabrication and repair work for different kinds of machinery. It’s a gritty environment, and we wear heavy boots because there are always heavy pieces of iron or steel lying around. The walls are stained with oil and there are old calendars hanging up that haven't been changed in years. We spend hours hunched over a machine, making sure a part is cut to the right size or welding pieces together. It’s a lot of physical labor and it gets quite hot in the workshop when the welding torches are going. We don’t have an office with air conditioning; we just have a small corner with a table where we look at rough sketches and calculate dimensions. Most of our customers are other local businesses who need something fixed quickly so they can get back to work. It’s loud, messy, and hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. We don’t bother with much else besides the metalwork and keeping the machines running for the next job that comes in through the gate.
