Srinidhi Handi Creations

We are tucked away in Vidyaranyapura at No 13 Sadhasivan Layout. It is quite a peaceful area compared to the city center and being near Lakeshore Garden means we get a nice breeze in the evenings. Thindlu is where most of us grew up so it felt right to start Srinidhi Handi Creations here. We do a lot of handiwork which means there is always thread and bits of wood or clay around the floor. My hands are usually stained with something by the end of the day. It is a small team and we work out of what used to be a garage. We fixed it up a bit with some shelves and a long table. My mother helps out sometimes with the intricate parts because she has better eyesight than I do. We don't have any fancy machines so everything takes a long time to finish. Sometimes we sit out in the small garden area to work when the weather is nice. The neighbors are friendly and they often stop by to see what we are making this week. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just make things and if people like them they buy them. It is a slow process but we enjoy the quiet pace of life here in the layout. It feels more like a hobby that turned into a job, and we hope to stay here at No 13 for a long time.
