We’ve been running Sri Vishal Bhavan near the Malleswaram Bridge for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot right by 17th Cross in Rajajinagar, specifically in the A Block of Subramanyam Nagar. Most mornings start early here when the milk gets delivered and the shutters go up. You can hear the traffic from the bridge starting to pick up by six. It’s not the quietest place to sit, but we have a steady group of regulars who come in every single day. The building is older, and sometimes the fans make a bit of a clicking noise that we haven't quite fixed yet. We keep the menu simple because that's what we know how to do. Some people just want their coffee and to get on with their commute. My brother handles the billing while I mostly stay in the back or help with clearing the tables when it gets packed. It’s a bit cramped during the lunch hour, and sometimes people have to wait for a stool to open up. We don't have any fancy decorations or soft music playing. It’s just a plain room with some tables and the smell of cooking. Rain sometimes leaks a little near the front door if the wind is blowing the right way, but we just put a mat down and keep going. It’s a practical place for folks around here who need a quick bite before heading into the city or back home.
