Sri Venkateshwara Silks

We are inside Krishna Market in Chickpet, specifically at shop number 4, building 231. Chickpet is a maze, as anyone who visits knows. We’ve been selling silks here for a long time. It’s a family thing, really. The shop is tucked away, so you have to look for the Krishna Market sign first. Once you're inside, just keep walking and you’ll find us. We have different kinds of silk fabrics piled up. Some days it's very quiet and other days we can't even sit down because of the crowd. We don't have a big fancy showroom. It's just a regular market shop with plenty of stock. People come from all over the city to Chickpet because the prices are different here. We try to keep a good variety so there is something for everyone. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is acting up, but we keep going. Working in a market like this means you see all sorts of people. We’ve seen children grow up and start coming here with their own kids. It’s just how time goes in a place like this. We are usually here from mid-morning until late evening. If you're coming by car, good luck with parking. Better to take an auto or just walk from the main road. We're just one of many shops, but we take care of what we have. Sri Venkateshwara Silks is our little corner in this big market.
