Sri Sumukha Engineering

You can find our little engineering shop at A-4 in Jayanagar 7th Block. Most people just call this area the dariyan wali gali. It’s a narrow lane, but we’ve made it our home for quite a few years. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes when we have big parts coming in. We do a bit of everything here when it comes to metal and repairs. It’s mostly just me and a few helpers. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we always have a radio playing somewhere in the back. It’s not a clean or quiet place. If you’re looking for a shiny office, this isn’t it. We focus on getting the work done. A lot of residents from the 7th Block come to us for small welding jobs or if they need a gate fixed. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on the people who live nearby. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is frustrating, but that’s just part of life here. I’ve lived in Jayanagar my whole life, so I know most of the faces that walk past the shop. It’s a decent living. We take things one day at a time and try to finish the jobs people leave with us. Nothing fancy, just an old-fashioned workshop in a busy lane. We just try to keep things moving along and help out our neighbors with their metal repairs.
