About Sri Sharada Sangeetha Shala – Education in Bengaluru
Sri Sharada Sangeetha Shala is tucked away at Padmanabhanagar 59/5. It’s not a huge place, but it stays quite active with students coming and going all through the week. We started this because there was a need for a place where local kids and even some adults could just learn the basics of music without it being a whole formal production. You can usually hear the notes of a veena or someone practicing their vocals drifting out onto the street if the windows are open. Most days, it’s just about getting the rhythm right and making sure the students actually practice their scales. We have a few different rooms where lessons happen, and things can get a bit loud when everyone is playing at once, but that is just part of it. Some of the parents sit outside on the steps and chat while they wait for their kids to finish up. It’s a very local feel. We don’t really do fancy advertising or anything like that. People mostly find out about us from their neighbors or by seeing the sign when they are walking past. The focus here is just on the music and making sure everyone gets their turn. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes in the hallway when one class is ending and the next is starting, but we manage to keep things moving. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and it’s become a familiar spot for the families living around here.
