Sri Shaila Kalyana Mantap

Our place, Sri Shaila Kalyana Mantap, is located at CSC Plaza in Vijaya Nagar. It’s a functional space that we’ve been running for a while now. We don't have a big marketing budget or a sales team. When someone wants to book the hall, they usually just drop by and we show them around. The space is used for all kinds of things—weddings, naming ceremonies, or even small community gatherings. We have to keep a close eye on the schedule because sometimes things overlap or people want to change their dates at the last minute. Managing the electricity and water for a big group of people is always a challenge, but we’ve gotten the hang of it over the years. The plaza can get a bit crowded when there are multiple things happening at once. We spend a lot of time talking to decorators and caterers who come in for different events. It’s a lot of coordinating and making sure everyone follows the rules so the building stays in good shape. Sometimes the lifts are slow or the parking gets tight, and we have to help manage that. We aren't a high-end luxury venue, just a practical spot for families to gather without too much fuss. Most of our work is just cleaning up after one event and setting up for the next one immediately. It keeps us on our toes, but that’s the nature of this business in Bangalore.
