Sri Raghavendra Silk House

Sri Raghavendra Silk House is located on Magadi Road, specifically at number 8 on the first floor. It is one of those places you might walk past if you aren't looking up. We have been working out of this space for quite some time. The stairs can be a bit steep, especially when we are carrying new stock up from the street. Magadi Road is always loud with traffic and people moving about, so it stays pretty energetic around here. Inside the shop, things are a bit quieter. We spend our mornings dusting the counters and folding fabrics that got messed up the day before. It is not a polished place with bright lights and mirrors everywhere. It is more of a workspace where we keep the sarees and cloth. Most of our day is spent talking to customers about what they need for weddings or small functions. We don't do much advertising. People usually know where we are because their parents or cousins bought stuff from us years ago. We try to keep a good variety of silks on the racks, though it’s hard to stay perfectly organized when it gets busy. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a short break. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep things moving along. Nothing fancy, just us and the silk rolls.
