Sri Padma Engineering Works

Our workshop is at 690 Peenya Midc, right near the Anjanaiah Temple. If you are in the area, you can probably hear the machines running before you see the sign. We do a lot of metal work and engineering jobs for the bigger factories around here. It is a noisy place with the sound of cutting and grinding going on most of the day. There is usually some oil on the floor and our hands are always dirty from the machines, but that is just part of the job. We have been here for a long time and we know the machines inside and out. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken part that they cannot find a replacement for, and we have to figure out how to make a new one from scratch. We do not have a fancy showroom or a secretary to answer the phones; if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. The temple nearby is a good landmark for people who get lost in the industrial estate. We work hard to get the dimensions right because even a small mistake means the part will not fit correctly. It is tough work and the heat from the welding can be a lot during the summer, but we enjoy seeing the finished pieces stacked up ready to go. It is just how we earn our living.
