Sri Murugan Silks

We are over here at Sri Murugan Silks, right on the first floor. If you know the Raja Market area, we are directly opposite to that. It’s 147 1st Floor in the Malad Industrial Estate. Most people find us by looking for the Ganapathi Temple nearby on Kanchpada Avenue Road. It’s a busy spot but we like it here. The shop has been around for a while now. We spend most of our days sorting through the silk stocks and helping people who walk up the stairs. It gets a bit crowded on the weekends when the market is full, but that is just how it is in Kanchpada. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we keep our materials. Sometimes the fans are loud and the lighting is just okay, but the silk is what matters. We deal with all kinds of people, from neighbors to folks coming from across town. Usually, people find us through word of mouth or because they were visiting the temple and saw our sign. We keep things simple. There isn't any big team here, just a few of us making sure everything stays organized on the shelves. It’s a lot of work lifting the heavy rolls and keeping track of the colors. We just try to get through the daily list of things to do.
