Sri Lakshmi Srinivasa Kalyana Mantapa

You can find us at 68/10 and 11 in HBR Layout, on the Jayratna Building Road. We are behind the KEB office, near the Vitthal Society in Navapura. Sri Lakshmi Srinivasa Kalyana Mantapa has been around this neighborhood for quite a while now. It’s a quiet area mostly, except when there is a big event going on and the street gets full of cars. The building is big and has a lot of rooms for guests to stay in. It’s an older style of construction, not like the new halls you see in the malls. We have the usual setup for weddings—a stage, a dining area, and some space for the priests to do their work. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after one group leaves so the next one can come in. The plumbing sometimes gives us trouble, so we are always keeping an eye on that. We don't do much in terms of fancy stuff. It’s just a place for people to get married or celebrate. Most of the families who come here live in HBR Layout or nearby. They like that it’s close to home and they know the way. We try to be helpful when people are stressed about their events. It’s a lot of work to run a mantapa, but it’s what we do for a living. It’s just a solid, local place that’s been part of the community here for years. We just keep the doors open.
