Sri Gowri Transport

We are based over in New Tharagpet, right on the 4th Main Road at number 34 1. If you know where Shivaji Complex is, we are directly opposite that. This part of the city is always full of lorries and people carrying heavy sacks. It’s a busy market area, so there is never a quiet moment from morning until late at night. We deal with moving goods for the local shops and businesses. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure the drivers know where they are going and that the loads are packed correctly. The office is small and often filled with the smell of diesel and old paper. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of logbooks where we track everything by hand. Sometimes things get messy when a truck breaks down or the rain slows everything down on the highway. We’ve been working out of Tharagpet for years now, so we know all the other transport guys nearby. It isn't a fancy operation with shiny computers everywhere. It’s more about the physical work and making sure the deliveries get to where they need to go. We spend a lot of time on the phone, shouting over the noise of the traffic outside to talk to our drivers. It’s tiring work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep at it day after day because people expect their goods to arrive.
