If you ever end up wandering around Kalasipalyam, you’ll know it’s a place that never really sleeps. Our office for Assam Bengal Roadways is at 97/12 on the 2nd Main Road in the KPN Extn area. It’s a busy corner of the world. There’s almost always a truck parked somewhere nearby or a driver waiting on paperwork. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving crates around, and the desks are piled with manifests and logbooks. It’s the kind of place where you know your neighbors because you’re all dealing with the same traffic and the same dust. Moving things across the country is hard work, and it shows in how we run things here. We don't have fancy leather chairs or a receptionist in a suit. It’s just us, some phones, and a lot of coordination to get loads from one point to another. The 2nd Main Road can be a bit of a squeeze when two big vehicles try to pass each other, but everyone eventually figures it out. We spend most of our time talking to drivers or checking on schedules. It is a noisy, fast-moving environment, but it feels right for a transport business. We focus on getting the job done without much fuss. Life here is about the next delivery and making sure the wheels keep turning on the road even when things get hectic.
