Sri Gangadhareswara Kalyana Mantapa

Our building is situated on Hebbal Bellary Road, right across from the HP petrol bunk. It is a pretty big place, mostly used for weddings and other big family gatherings. If you are from around here, you probably know the spot because it is hard to miss when you are driving towards the airport. We spend most of our time managing the schedule and making sure the hall is ready for whoever has booked it next. There is a lot of cleaning involved. After a wedding ends, there is always a huge mess to clear up before the next family arrives with their stuff. We check the lights, the fans, and the water pipes constantly because things tend to break when you have hundreds of people using them. We have some rooms for the families to stay in while the ceremonies are going on. They are just basic rooms with the essentials, nothing too elaborate. The kitchen area is quite large so that the caterers the families hire have enough space to cook for a lot of guests. Parking can be a bit of a headache on Bellary Road, so we try to help out as much as we can with that. It’s a very practical kind of business. We’ve seen all sorts of events here over the years, from small naming ceremonies to very loud weddings. We just try to keep the place running smoothly so people can have their events without too many problems.
