Sri Ganesh Engineering Works

Sri Ganesh Engineering Works is located at Banneraghatta Road, Hulimavu 1. It is a small shop right on the edge of the busy road. You can hear the buses going by all day long. We have a couple of old lathes that have seen better days but they still work fine for what we do. Mostly we handle small machining jobs. People bring in broken parts from their vehicles or farm equipment and we try to fix them. The floor is always covered in those curly metal shavings. It is hard to keep the place tidy. We have a little corner where we keep the oil cans and tools. It’s just three of us working here. We start around nine and stay until the work is finished. Sometimes that means working late under a couple of dim bulbs. The neighbors are alright. We all share the same dusty air. We don’t have a website or a big sign. The paint on our board is peeling a bit. We just do the work as it comes in. If a job is too big for us, we say so. We don't like to overpromise. The grease gets under your fingernails and stays there. That is just the life of an engineer in a place like this. We are just happy to have the work and keep the machines turning every day.
