Sri Ayodhya Veg

Sri Ayodhya Veg is tucked away on 8th main in Vasanth Nagar. We are at No.18/1, not too far from Mount Carmel College. Because we are so close to the college, we get a lot of students coming in between their classes. It’s a busy little spot, especially in the mornings when everyone wants their breakfast quickly. We’ve been in Bangalore for a long time and Vasanth Nagar has changed a lot, but we are still here. The place isn't very big, so it gets tight during the lunch hour. We mostly serve vegetarian food, the kind of stuff you'd find in any typical Bangalore kitchen. We don't go for anything modern or trendy. We just have our standard menu that we’ve used for years. The guys in the kitchen have a rhythm down, even when there are twenty orders coming in at once. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, and the noise from the street outside never really stops. We try to keep the tables wiped down and the water jugs filled up. It’s just a normal restaurant where you can get a quick bite and move on with your day. We don’t have fancy menus or anything, just a board with what’s available. Most people who live around 8th main know us by now. We just do our work, close up at night, and do it all over again the next day. It’s just how we run the place.
