Sri Andal Engineering Works

Over at No. 7 in the S.R.T. Layout, things stay pretty loud during the day. That’s just the way it is at Sri Andal Engineering Works. We’ve got the machines running from early morning until late evening most days. It’s a busy little corner of the neighborhood. I remember when we first moved into this unit, there wasn’t much else around us, but now it’s all filled up with other shops and houses. We do a lot of metal work and fixing parts for people who bring them in. Some days the floor is covered in shavings and oil, and my hands stay dirty until I get home. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. Usually, if you come by, you just walk right into the shop and find one of us working. We deal with all sorts of requests, some big and some just tiny little fixes that take five minutes. We try to be fair with everyone. Sometimes we run behind schedule when a machine breaks down or a part doesn't arrive on time, but we always try to make it right for the customer. Life in S.R.T. Layout is good, and we’ve made a lot of friends among the other local business owners. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work in front of us. That’s really all there is to it for us.
