Sree Vigneshwara Engineeing Works

Sree Vigneshwara Engineeing Works is a small workshop found at Nagarathpet 12. The place is usually filled with the smell of cutting oil and the sound of metal hitting metal. We have a couple of old lathes and some welding equipment that have seen a lot of use over the years. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as there are always metal shavings on the floor and grease on our hands. We take on all kinds of odd jobs, like fixing broken machinery parts or fabricating small brackets. People from the market nearby often bring us things that they can’t find replacements for. We have to measure everything carefully and figure out a way to make it work. It’s practical, hands-on stuff that requires a lot of focus. The shop is quite narrow, so we have to move the machines around sometimes to make space for a bigger project. We don't have a website or any of that, we just rely on the fact that we’ve been at this spot in Nagarathpet for a long time. Most of our day is spent bent over a workbench or standing at a machine. It’s a bit loud and hot in the summer, but we don't mind. We just enjoy the feeling of finishing a part and seeing it fit perfectly. It’s a simple life of making and mending things, and that’s plenty for us. We just keep our heads down and work.
