You can find Sree Valsa Engineering over on Nanda Nagar Road in Singanallur, right at number 36. We’ve been operating out of this building for a long time, and most people in the neighborhood know us by now. We are an engineering shop that deals with all sorts of mechanical requests. Sometimes it’s a small part for a neighbor’s machine, and other times it’s a bigger batch of components for a local factory. We don't have a big corporate office or a floor full of managers. It’s mostly just the guys on the floor who know how to run the lathes and the milling machines. We start early when the air is still a bit cool and try to get the heavy work done before the afternoon heat hits the shop. It’s a noisy environment with the sound of metal hitting metal, but we’re used to it. We don’t put up fancy signs or run ads because word of mouth usually keeps our schedule full enough. We focus on making sure the measurements are right and the materials are solid. There is no secret to what we do; it’s just patience and knowing your tools inside and out. If something isn't right, we fix it before it leaves the door. That’s just how things are done here in Singanallur. It’s a simple life, centered around the work bench and the daily tasks we’ve mastered over the years. We take our tea together and then get back to the grind.
