Sree Engineers

Our workshop is over in T. R. Nagar, specifically on Balaji Road. It's 2nd block, number 214. If you know the area, it's pretty quiet compared to the main roads. We spend most of our time at the benches or looking at drawings. There is usually some grease on the floor and the smell of metal. We have been in this spot for a while now. The rain sometimes gets in through the front door if it's heavy, so we keep some old sacks handy. It’s not a shiny corporate place. We use old tools that still work better than the new ones. Bangalore has changed a lot around us, but this street feels the same. We drink coffee from the place around the corner twice a day. Usually, someone is talking over the sound of a machine. We don't really do big meetings or presentations. We just look at what needs fixing or making and get on with it. Sometimes we stay late when a job is tricky. My hands are usually dirty by noon. That is just part of being an engineer here. If you come by, you might have to park a bit further down the road because it gets tight with the neighbors' cars. We just keep things simple. The roof leaks a tiny bit near the back, but we just put a bucket there and carry on. No use making a fuss about it.
