We are over in the Doddanakundi area of Bangalore, specifically at House Number 706 on 21 B Cross in Pragathi Layout. If you know Bangalore, you know how these layouts are—lots of turns and similar-looking houses. Our office is basically a house that’s been converted into a workspace, so it has a bit of a homey feel to it. There’s a small garden area in the front where some of us sit when we need a break from the computers. Inside, it’s mostly just rooms filled with desks and a lot of cables running along the floor. We do a lot of multimedia work, so there’s always someone editing something or looking at layouts. It’s not a silent office; there’s usually some music playing or people debating about a design. The kitchen is where most of the life happens because the coffee machine is there. We don’t have a big corporate HR department or anything; we just talk to each other if something needs fixing. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of life in this city. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, maybe a bit messy with books and magazines everywhere, but we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and get the projects done one by one while the neighborhood stays busy outside our windows all day.
