Chander Light House

Down on Seppings Road in Shivaji Nagar, you’ll find us at number 179. Chander Light House has been a part of this street for a long time. It’s a very busy area, always people walking by and horns honking outside. Inside the shop, it’s a bit of a different world with all the lights hanging from the ceiling and stacked on the shelves. We have everything from basic bulbs to more decorative pieces that people want for their homes. It can get a bit dusty with all the stock we keep, but we try to keep things organized enough so we can find what a customer is asking for. My family has been doing this for years, and I’ve spent more time in this shop than anywhere else, I think. We spend a lot of time testing bulbs and fixing wiring for people who bring in their old lamps. It’s not a fancy showroom with carpets and soft music. It’s a real shop where we talk to neighbors and help folks get their lights working again. Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming with the noise from the road, but you get used to it. We don’t really do any big marketing. People just know the name Chander and they know where to find us on Seppings Road when they need a new light or some wire. It’s just a simple life running a local shop here.
