Balar & Co

You can find Balar & Co over at 203 Avenue Road. If you know this area, you know how crowded and lively it gets. We’ve been part of this street for quite some time. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it’s home to us. We deal with various goods, mostly things that local businesses or people need for their daily work. It’s a lot of manual tracking and keeping an eye on the stock. Avenue Road is always moving, so there’s never a dull moment looking out the front window. We get deliveries at odd hours because of the traffic restrictions, so we’ve learned to be flexible with our timing. The shop itself is packed with items from floor to ceiling. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a few people inside at once. We don’t really do fancy displays or anything like that. Most people come in knowing exactly what they need, and we just go find it for them in the back. It’s practical work. We’ve got regulars who have been coming to us for years, and we know their names and what they usually look for. That’s the nice part about being on a street like this. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. It’s a busy life, but it suits us just fine. Every day is a bit different but the core work stays the same for us here.
