Sp Engineering

Sp Engineering is at No.447 on 3rd Main in Prakash Nagar. It’s a quiet enough street, but our workshop can get a bit noisy when the machines are running. We have been in this spot for many years now. The building is just a regular one, and we have our lathes and milling machines set up inside. We do all kinds of general engineering work. It’s the kind of place where you come in with a broken part and we see if we can fix it or make a new one. We don't have a front desk or any sales people. Usually, someone is just working at a machine and they will stop to talk to you if you walk in. Prakash Nagar is a nice place to work because it feels more like a community than a big industrial park. We know the people living nearby and they are used to the sounds of our shop. We don't have any big goals of expanding or becoming some huge company. We just like doing the work and seeing the finished parts on the table. It’s a lot of manual labor and our hands are usually covered in oil by the end of the shift. We just do our work and go home to our families. It’s a simple, honest way to live, I think. We have some old posters on the wall and a small fridge for water. That’s all we need. Sometimes the radio is playing in the background but mostly it’s just the hum of the motors.
