Smt Shantha Venkataswamaiah Kalyana Mantapa

We are located at No.16 in the Aft Kavalbyrasandra area, specifically within the KHB Quarters in RT Nagar. Our hall is on Shamanna Gowda Road, which is tucked away in the Cauvery Nagar section of the neighborhood. It is a local kalyana mantapa that has seen a lot of marriages and small parties over the years. The area is a residential one, so we mostly cater to the people living nearby in the quarters and the surrounding streets. It is not one of those huge, expensive venues you see in the center of the city, but it works well for family budgets and local traditions. We have a simple stage and a space for dining. The building itself has that older Bangalore feel to it that people seem to appreciate. Managing the schedule is the main thing we do, making sure one family moves out so the next one can come in and set up their decorations. It gets noisy during the wedding season with the music and the crowds, but the neighbors are used to it by now. We try to keep the place in good shape, though it’s an older structure and always needs some small repair or painting. There’s no fancy office here, just a desk where we handle the bookings and talk to the families about their dates. It’s a steady job, and we like being part of the life events of the people around RT Nagar.
