Sindhoor Convention Centre

Our place is located in the Sarakki Industrial Area, specifically on 15th Cross in JP Nagar. It’s a large space, which is what people need when they are planning something with a lot of guests. We spend a lot of our time just walking around the hall making sure the chairs are lined up and the floors are mopped properly. It’s an older building, so it has that solid feel to it. There’s a lot of coordination involved in keeping a place like this running. One day we might be helping someone set up a stage, and the next day we’re just hosing down the entrance area after a big group has left. The neighborhood is mostly industrial and residential mixed together, so things are pretty quiet on the weekends except when we have a function going on. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that; we just work out of a small room near the main entrance. It’s practical work. We deal with caterers, decorators, and a lot of families who are usually a bit stressed about their big day. We just try to stay out of the way and make sure the lights work and the water is running in the washrooms. It is a lot of physical labor, but seeing a clean, empty hall at the end of the night is a good feeling. It’s just what we do here in JP Nagar every week.
