Silkera

We are based at S-8/416 C 2Ka Khajuri, right along M.A. Road. If you are looking for Silkera, you’ll find us tucked away in this part of town where things are always moving. It’s not a corporate building by any means. It’s just our workspace where we deal with all the fabrics and orders that come through. The space is often filled with rolls of cloth and the smell of fresh thread. M.A. Road is a busy stretch, so there’s always a bit of traffic noise coming through the front door. We don't have a big sign with bright lights, just enough so people can find the right door. A few of us sit here during the day managing the stock and answering the phone when it rings. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from packing boxes to checking the quality of the silk. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due, but usually, we close up at a regular hour and go home. We’ve grown used to the neighborhood and the people who work nearby. It’s a simple setup, and we prefer it that way because it lets us focus on the actual materials. We don’t use any complicated systems, just pen and paper and a basic computer for the stuff that needs it. It’s just us doing what we know.
