We spend most of our days here at No. 85/9 in Srigandhada Kavalu, right near the pipeline in Sunkadakatte. If you know Magadi Road, you know the area can get pretty busy with traffic. Inside the workshop, things are usually noisy because we are dealing with hoists and heavy lifting gear. Sigma Hoist Company Private Limited has been around for a while now. It started as a small setup and we just kept going with the metal work and assembly. There is always grease on someone's hands and the smell of cut steel in the air. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we put machines together. Some days are long, especially when a big order needs to get out. We have a few guys who have been here since the start. They know every bolt and chain by heart. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It's not a glamorous job but it is what we do. People come by asking for parts or repairs and we just get to it. We try to keep things simple. No big speeches or complicated paperwork. Just moving heavy things from one place to another using the equipment we build. It's decent work. The neighborhood knows us as the guys near the pipeline. We just keep our heads down and finish the day's tasks.
