Shruthilaya School Of Dance

At Shruthilaya School Of Dance, we spend most of our time on the floor moving to music. We are located at number 25 on the New C G Road in Marathahalli. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. The studio itself is pretty simple. We have some mirrors and enough space for people to move around without bumping into each other too much. We get a lot of students from around the Marathahalli area. Some are kids whose parents want them to learn something traditional, and others are just people looking to do something different after work. We don’t really do the whole big production thing with glossy brochures. It’s more about the practice and getting the steps right. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty and the music player acts up, but we make it work. It’s a very local vibe here. We know the families and the people who walk past our door every day. We’ve been in this spot on New C G Road for a while. It’s not a fancy corporate dance academy, just a place where people come to learn how to dance. We keep the doors open and the lights on, and someone is usually here practicing even when there isn’t a class. It’s just how we run things.
