If you go behind Pooja Kalyana Mantapa, you’ll find us at No.92 in Pete Chennappa Industrial Estate. We’ve been in Kamakshipalya for quite a long time. It’s a bit tucked away, but we like it that way. Shobha Engineering is just a small place where we handle different engineering jobs. It’s mostly metalwork and repairs. The morning starts early here with the sound of shutters going up. Usually, there’s a bit of grease on everyone’s hands by ten. We aren’t big on flashy signs or corporate talk. We just focus on the job at hand. Sometimes the estate gets a bit crowded with trucks, but we manage. My father started this, and we’ve just kept it going. We know most of the neighbors. If someone’s machine breaks down, they usually come over to see if we can help. We don’t have a website that we update often, mostly because we are busy in the shop. It’s a lot of manual labor and making sure things are measured right. We’ve seen the area change around the Kalyana Mantapa over the years. Some businesses come and go, but we’re still here at No.92. It’s just how it is. We finish up, lock the doors, and head home to do it all again the next day. This place is part of the community and we plan to stay that way for as long as we can.
