I've been looking after the Shenoy Building at 98-A Cooke Town for a while now. It’s on M G Road, right in the 560005 area, and it’s an older place that has seen a lot of things happen over the years. The neighborhood has grown up around it, but the building itself stays pretty much the same. Most of my day is spent just keeping things running. I’m usually checking the pipes or making sure the hallways are clear. It isn't a modern office block with a glass front or anything like that. It’s just stone and brick and some old wooden doors. You can hear the traffic from M G Road all day long, which takes some getting used to if you’re new here. We don't have a big staff, so I end up doing a lot of the small repairs myself. The mail usually gets dropped off in the lobby, and I try to keep it sorted so people can find their letters. It’s a solid building, even if it has a few cracks here and there. People come and go, using the space for work or whatever they need. I just keep the lights on and make sure the front door locks properly at night. It’s a simple job, really. Just keeping an old place going in a busy part of town. We don't make much of a fuss about it.
