Sharath Engineering

We are situated at A 18 in the Peenya Industrial Area 3Rd Stage. This part of the city is always moving. There are big trucks constantly backing into small spaces and the smell of oil is everywhere. Sharath Engineering is just one of many shops in this row. Our unit has big heavy doors that stay open all day to let the breeze in. The machines we use take up most of the floor space, so you have to be careful where you walk. There’s always a fine layer of metal shavings on the ground no matter how much we sweep. We have a small corner with a table where we sit and have our lunch or check the drawings for the day. The roof is corrugated metal, so it gets quite loud when it rains, almost like drums beating over our heads. We’ve been at A 18 for a while, and the walls are stained from years of work. Peenya is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the dust, but we like the pace of it. Everyone around here is doing the same thing, just trying to get their orders out on time. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in the back near the lathes or the drills. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, but we prefer being busy over sitting idle. The nearby canteen is where we usually get our vadas in the morning.
