Shang Palace (Shangri La Hotel)

Shang Palace is tucked away inside the Shangri La Hotel over on Palace Road in Bangalore. We are right next to the French Consitel, so if you know that landmark, you know where we are. Bangalore gets quite crowded, but this part of Palace Road stays relatively organized compared to other spots. We have been working here for a bit, serving people who come in from the hotel and also folks from around the city who want to eat out. It's a big operation being part of a hotel like this, but we try to keep things straightforward. The kitchen stays busy most days. We don't really go for all that high-pressure marketing stuff you see online. We just focus on the food and making sure the tables are ready. People find us because of the location or they might be staying upstairs. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate to get to us, but most people don't mind. We see a lot of different faces every week, some regulars and some just passing through. It can get a bit loud during the lunch rush, but that's just how it goes in a place like this. We don’t have some big corporate speech to give. We just show up, do the work, and hope people enjoy what we put on the plate. Being on Palace Road is nice because the surroundings are quite green and there is a lot of history there.
