Sgk Sareewala

Sgk Sareewala is over in Vijay Nagar. It’s a busy part of town and we’ve been here for quite some time now. We don’t have a complicated address, just Vijay Nagar. Most people in the area know the streets well enough to find us. We deal with sarees every day. It’s a lot of folding and showing different fabrics to people who come in. The shop isn’t huge. It’s just enough space for our stock and a place for customers to sit and look at the colors. We don't do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or just walk in while they are doing their other shopping. Vijay Nagar is always full of energy, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. We try to keep things simple here. We don't have a big corporate team, just a couple of us working the floor. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when a lot of people come in at once, but we manage. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We like the regular routine of opening the shutters and getting the displays ready. There’s no big secret to how we run things. We just show up and help the people who walk through the door. It’s a straightforward way to make a living and we’re happy with it. We just keep things moving.
