Seashell Restaurant

Our place is situated at No.44/4 on the first floor, right above the Federal Bank. We are on Residency Road, specifically at the Residency Cross Road junction. It used to be easy to tell people we were next to the Galaxy Theatre, but things change in Bangalore and now it is more about the bank downstairs. Being in 560025 means we are right in the middle of all the noise and the movement of the city. The restaurant is one flight up, so it's a bit of a climb, but it gives you a decent view of the traffic if you sit near the windows. We’ve been here for years, and the interior definitely shows some age. We don't mind it, and our regulars don't seem to either. It’s the kind of place where you know what you’re getting. The staff have been with us for a long time, so they know how the kitchen runs and where everything is kept. It gets very busy during the middle of the day when everyone is out for lunch. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when it’s raining and everyone crowds inside to stay dry. We just focus on the cooking and making sure everyone has a place to sit. It’s not a fancy establishment, just a local restaurant where we put in the hours every day. We’ve seen the city grow up around us while we stayed right here on this corner.
