Schunk Metal & Carbon (I)Pvt.Ltd.

We are located at Number 54 on Whitefield Road, right near the Mahadevapura post office. It’s a busy part of town these days, but we’ve been here since before all the big tech companies moved in. Schunk Metal & Carbon is really about the materials. We work with carbon brushes and various metal components that go into big industrial motors and machines. The building is older, with high ceilings and a lot of metal shelving reaching all the way up to the rafters. It’s a bit dusty because of the carbon we handle, so everything has a slight grey tint to it, including our hands. We spend a lot of time checking batches and packing wooden crates for transport. The staff here has been around for a long time; we know each other's families and exactly how we like our afternoon tea. We don’t have a flashy lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just rows of boxes and the constant sound of the forklift moving around in the back. Every morning starts the same way, checking the orders and seeing what needs to go out first. Sometimes the traffic on Whitefield Road makes it hard for the delivery trucks to get in or out, which can be a real headache. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a steady rhythm, and we’re used to the grind of industrial life.
