Savitri Impex

Savitri Impex is based at 6A, Kiron Shanker Roy Road. This part of the city is full of old buildings and lots of legal and government offices, so it has a very specific feel to it. Our office is a functional space where we manage our import and export business. It is mostly desks, filing cabinets, and a couple of computers that are always humming. We do not have any big signs or flashy displays. Most of our work happens over the phone or through piles of paperwork that need to be stamped and signed. The ceiling is high and the windows are tall, which is typical for this area, but it can get a bit drafty in the winter. We have a small pantry where we make coffee and tea, which is essential for getting through the long afternoons of data entry and tracking shipments. It is a quiet place for the most part, except when the phones start ringing all at once. We are a small group of people who just try to stay on top of the regulations and the shipping schedules. There is nothing very exciting about the way we work, but we are consistent. We know the local porters and the guys at the post office by name. It is just a regular office doing regular business.
