Satiety

Our place is at No.35/1 on the 6th Main Road in Chingasandra. We are right near the Mangalore Lunch Home, which is a big landmark on Hosur Road. Being so close to Hosur Road means there is a constant hum of traffic in the background, mostly the big trucks and buses moving through the city. We start our work early because we have to get the supplies in before the traffic gets too heavy. Our kitchen is pretty straightforward, nothing fancy, just the tools we need to get the job done. We spend a lot of time on our feet, prepping ingredients and watching the pots. The air in the kitchen gets thick with steam and the smell of whatever is on the stove. We try to keep things moving quickly, especially when we have several orders going at once. Sometimes we run out of something and someone has to rush out to the local market to grab more. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but we’ve learned how to manage. The evenings are usually the busiest when people are coming back from work and stopping by. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It’s just a regular business where we work hard and go home tired. We’ve been at this for a while now, and we just take each day as it comes, making sure the food is ready and the kitchen is clean. That’s pretty much how we spend our weeks here.
