Sarovar Restaurant

You can find us at No.9 in the Dhondusa Complex, right near Richmond Circle. That’s a pretty famous spot in Bangalore, so we get a lot of people passing by who are just hungry or looking for a place to sit. We’ve been here for a good while, and the area has changed a lot around us, but we’re still in the same corner. It’s a bit of a tight space sometimes when the lunch crowd comes in, but we make it work. We don’t have a long list of goals or a fancy manifesto. We just cook the food, serve it up, and wash the dishes afterward. The kitchen can get pretty loud and hot, especially on weekends, but that’s just how it goes in a restaurant. Our staff is mostly local guys who know the menu by heart. We don’t spend much time on decorations or making things look perfect for photos. It’s about the food and making sure people leave with a full stomach. Sometimes the traffic at the circle makes it hard to park, so most of our customers just walk over from their offices nearby. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. It feels like a little community inside the complex. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, day in and day out, without making a big deal out of it or using corporate talk.
