Sanjo Engineering Works

You’ll find Sanjo Engineering Works at number 27 in Kamakshi Palya. We are tucked away in Ramdev Nagar. It’s a small engineering shop, mostly doing repairs and making small parts. The workspace is tight because we have a lot of lathes and drills packed in there. It’s always a bit oily on the floor, so you have to watch your step. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age. But it’s a good place to work. We have a few regulars who bring us their broken machinery to see if we can salvage it. Often, we can. We don’t have a big sign out front, just a small one over the door. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we use desk lamps for the fine work. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, even if we aren't all related. We drink a lot of coffee during the afternoon slump. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix our own equipment before we can finish a client's job. That’s just part of the life here. We don’t use any computer systems for our records, it’s all in paper notebooks. It works for us. Ramdev Nagar is a quiet area mostly, which is nice. We just keep our heads down and do the engineering. There is usually a radio playing somewhere in the back to keep us going while we work.
