Samudra Sangeetha Shala

You can find Samudra Sangeetha Shala right on Bellary Road at number 163. It is a busy stretch of road, but the atmosphere inside is much more peaceful. We have been teaching music here for a long time. It is not like one of those big modern music academies with soundproof glass and high-tech recording booths. It is just a regular building where people who love music come to sit and learn. We have instruments like violins and sitars leaning against the walls in the main room. Most of our students are local kids who come by after their school is over for the day. We usually sit on the floor for the lessons because it feels more natural and traditional that way. The fans on the ceiling hum quite a bit, but once the music starts, you don't really notice the noise from the traffic on Bellary Road. We don't do any big advertisements or have a fancy website. Usually, people just hear about us from their neighbors or friends who have kids coming here. If you want to join, you just come by in the evening and talk to us. We might be in the middle of a song, so you might have to wait a few minutes on the old wooden bench outside. It is a very simple, honest place where we just focus on the notes and the rhythms of the day.
