Sai Lakshmi Times

Our business, Sai Lakshmi Times, is located inside the Unity Building on Jaya Chamarajendra Road. If you know JC Road, you know it’s one of the busiest streets in the whole city, always full of people and vehicles. We are tucked away inside the building, which provides a bit of a break from the noise outside. We spend our time working on watches and timepieces of all shapes and sizes. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on very small things. We have been in the Unity Building for quite some time now, and we’ve gotten used to the way the light comes in through the windows in the late afternoon. Our counter is usually piled with watches that need new batteries or have broken straps. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the delicate parts. Sometimes a customer comes in with a clock that hasn't worked in twenty years, and we have to tell them it will take a few weeks to find the right pieces. We don't like to rush the work because that's how things get broken. It’s a steady pace of life here. We see people from all walks of life coming through the building. We just keep our heads down and focus on the ticking. It’s a practical trade and we are glad to be doing it right here on JC Road.
