S S R Times is based in the Srinvasa Building, which is number 3 in Ramamurthy Nagar. We are quite close to the Holy Family Church, so we hear the bells often. Our shop is a small space where we look at watches and clocks all day. It’s quiet work that requires a lot of sitting and looking through a magnifying glass. We have tiny screwdrivers and parts all over the workbench. Sometimes the floor is covered in old straps or packaging. People bring in their watches that stopped working or need a new battery. It’s a local spot where neighbors stop by to chat while they wait. Ramamurthy Nagar has changed a lot, but this building has been our base for quite some time. We don't have fancy displays or neon signs. It’s just a counter, some shelves, and the tools we use. Sometimes a repair takes a few minutes, and sometimes it takes days if we have to wait for a specific part to arrive. We keep track of everything in a ledger. The light in the shop is bright so we can see the small gears. It’s a steady pace of work. We aren’t trying to be the biggest shop in the city. We just stay here near the church and do what we know how to do with timepieces. It's a job that needs a steady hand and some patience.
