Our shop is located at 784/45 on Kalanagar Main Road, right in the heart of Kammagondanahalli. Being in Jalahalli West means we are usually surrounded by noise from the traffic and other small businesses around us. It is a practical space, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, you will find the usual machines you'd expect in an engineering place. There is always the smell of cutting oil and metal shavings on the floor. We start early because the afternoon heat in this part of Bangalore can get quite heavy. We take on various jobs that people bring in, mostly small parts or repairs that need a steady hand. The walls are covered with old calendars and a few tools hanging on nails. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits. We wear our work clothes and they usually get stained with grease pretty quickly. Our workbench is scarred from years of use, but it serves its purpose well. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a specific piece if the customer is in a hurry. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly just handling the physical work and keeping track of things in a notebook. It’s a straightforward life here at S S Engineering Enterprises on Kalanagar Main Road, just doing the work that comes our way.
